This item is a vintage porcelain ashtray featuring a scalloped edge and a central painted bouquet of roses. There are no makers marks but those items similar to these were produced in England and Japan—signed by the individual artist who painted the floral motifs. The style of the brown roses and the scalloped, "ruffled" edges on your dish is very consistent with English ironstone or Bavarian porcelain from the mid-20th century. Normal wear for a mid-century item. Signed R. Knibb
